Reason: the inverter is composed of numerous electronic devices, which will produce a lot of heat when it works, especially when IGBT works at high frequency. If the ambient temperature is too high, it will also lead to the high temperature of the internal components of the frequency converter. In order to protect the internal circuit of the frequency converter, the inverter will report a high temperature fault and shut down.
Countermeasures: reduce the temperature of the place where the frequency converter is located, such as installing forced cooling measures such as air conditioner or fan.
2. Poor ventilation of frequency converter
Cause: if the air duct of the frequency converter is blocked or the air duct of the control cabinet is blocked, the heat dissipation inside the frequency converter will be affected, resulting in the overheating alarm of the frequency converter.
Countermeasures: regularly overhaul the frequency converter, remove the garbage in the air duct and smooth the air duct.
3. The fan is jammed or damaged
Cause: when the inverter fan is broken, a large number of heat accumulated in the inverter can not be dispersed.
It can be seen that the maintenance of frequency converter is particularly important. How can we reduce the failure rate, make the inverter spend the summer safely and reduce the loss of customers
1、 Pay attention to the following points in the maintenance of frequency converter in summer:
Appropriate temperature, humidity, ventilation, dust-free and interference free, the inverter internal and external cleaning.
2、 The main aspects that directly affect the heat dissipation of frequency converter?
1. The fan running protection, the frequency converter inside the fan is the main means of heat dissipation inside the box, it will ensure the normal operation of the control circuit. Therefore, if the fan does not work properly, maintenance should be carried out immediately.
2. The inverter module is not only the main component of heat generation in the inverter, but also an important and fragile part of the inverter. Therefore, each inverter is equipped with overheating protection device on the heat dissipation plate.
3. The inlet and outlet of cooling air duct shall not be blocked, and the ambient temperature may be higher than the allowable value of frequency converter. This paper puts forward some methods to solve the problems and suggestions for improvement, which has certain reference value for the application of frequency converter in practical engineering.
4. For interference problem, attention should be paid to the interference of frequency converter to microcomputer control board. The process level of the microcomputer control board designed by the user is poor, which does not meet the EMC international standard. After using the frequency converter, the conduction and radiation interference often lead to the abnormal operation of the control system. Therefore, necessary measures should be taken.
3、 Precautions for maintenance and maintenance of frequency converter in summer:
1. Check the operation status of the frequency converter, whether the voltage and current value are within the normal range.
2. Carefully monitor and record the ambient temperature of the inverter room, which is generally between - 10 ℃ and 40 ℃. The temperature rise of phase-shifting transformer shall not exceed 130 ℃.
3. Avoid direct sunlight, humidity and water droplets. Summer is rainy season, so it is necessary to prevent rainwater from entering into the inverter (such as rainwater entering along the wind outlet).
4. Installation of frequency converter:
(1) Due to the high temperature in summer, ventilation and heat dissipation in the installation site of frequency converter should be strengthened. Ensure that the surrounding air does not contain excessive dust, acid, salt, corrosive and explosive gases.
(2) In order to maintain good ventilation, the distance between the inverter and the surrounding obstructions should meet the following requirements: both sides ≥ 125px, upper and lower parts ≥ 300px.
(3) In order to improve the cooling effect, all frequency converters should be installed vertically. In order to prevent foreign matters from falling on the air outlet of the frequency converter and blocking the air duct, it is better to install a protective net over the air outlet of the frequency converter.
(4) When two or more frequency converters are installed in a control cabinet, they should be installed side by side as far as possible (horizontal arrangement). If the vertical arrangement is necessary, a diaphragm should be installed between the two inverters to avoid the hot air from the lower frequency converter entering the upper frequency converter.
5. According to the site environment, the fan and air duct shall be cleaned regularly to prevent blockage; especially in the textile industry, due to the large amount of cotton wadding, it is necessary to clean it regularly; however, it is necessary to pay attention to the safety of live operation when cleaning the fan duct.
6. Regularly check the ventilation and heat dissipation equipment of the frequency converter to ensure normal operation, especially the self-contained fan of the frequency converter. How to judge whether there is a problem with the fan?
(1) Check the appearance of the fan to see whether the power line of the fan falls off and is damaged, and whether the fan blade is broken;
(2) Listen to the fan for abnormal sound.
